dc.descriptionWhen the particles of a body have the order of a nanometer or a thousandth of a micron, they are called nanoparticles; silver nanoparticles are of great interest due to their biocidal effect, in the field of agriculture there are diseases such as the anthracnose disease caused by the fungus Colletotrichum, it can be seen present in fruits, leaves and stems of the host plant. Attacks several crops such as Solanaceae, cereals, legumes, citrus fruits and vegetables. The purpose of this research was to analyze the biocidal effect of silver nanoparticles synthesized from potato and silver nitrate solutions to control infections caused by Colletotrichum spp. For this, tree tomato fruits were collected that showed the presence of the disease, the fungus Colletotrichum spp. Was isolated, purified and identified. In turn, nine silver nanoparticle solutions were synthesized using the Green Synthesis method, each one of them with different concentration of potato and silver nitrate. Then, the nine solutions were placed in Petri dishes together with PDA plus chloramphenicol, and then the already identified fungus was seeded; data of the fungal growth diameter of each one of the Petri dishes was obtained after 7 days of incubation with the data obtained, the calculation of the antifungal index was developed, for the analysis of the research a completely randomized design was applied (DCA ) with three repetitions and a functional analysis with Tukey (Tests of separation of means) to 5 percent. The variables that were evaluated were Diameter of Growth (mm) of the fungus and the Anti-fungal Index (percent). The sample of Colletotrichum spp that had a smaller growth diameter was the sample seeded in PDA agar more chloramphenicol more solution 2.2 (24 mg of silver nitrate in 50 ml of milliQ water more 5 ml of (15g of potato in 100 ml of distilled water), the same sample had the highest anti fungal index. This solution was considered with greater fungal growth resistance. On the other hand, the tests carried out with the other solutions placed on Agar PDA more Chloramphenicol are considered solutions with the lowest antifungal index and with the largest growth diameter of the fungus.en
