dc.description | The present work concerning basic social abilities and the cohabitation of children, ages 4 to 5, has the objective of determining how the development of basic social abilities constitutes an alternative for the improvement of the cohabitation of this age group in the institutions in the city of Quito. The methodology consists of a qualitative focus, a descriptive level with field investigation, and a bibliography. The population under observation consists of 31 people including 20 children, 9 teachers, and 2 authorities from 2 educative centers. To obtain the data, various tools were used, such as interviews of the directors of educational centers and rating scales for the children and the student interviews. Upon obtaining the data the conclusion reached is that the basic social abilities constitute an alternative for the development of the cohabitation of children, ages 4 to 5, because through these abilities it is possible to create new foundations for healthy and positive relationships among them, since we are constantly interacting socially and even more so children in this age range; by the same token the data points to an improvement in the intellectual and cognitive development of the same group. | en |
