Descripción : Karting started in Ecuador in the early 70’s, this sport has been practiced over the years by a selected group of people fond of motoring. For the general public there are few establishments who rent Go-Karts adapted for entertainment and competition given the high cost of the sport no everyone has access. With this background and good omen that denotes a growing trend in the entertainment and recreational activities industry in Ecuador, the authors have seen the possibility of implementing a karting club in urban area of Quito, after conducting a thorough market study it was determined the target market and necessary marketing strategies to capture the number of customers needed to make the project successful. Potential demand calculated from investigation is 15,863 persons for a year under normal terms to meet market expectations was necessary to provide different services to suit the needs and requirements of customers related to entertainment and recreation one of the fundamental aspects for the success of this business idea was to find a strategic location within the city limits and also to have gotten the right terrain and city municipal support facilitated the revenue projection with market conditions raised by the authors research. The investment needed to cover infrastructure constitution, marketing expectation campaign and work capital is USD 360,000.00 the value in working capital is high because it must cover the negative cash flows in the initial months of operations After evaluating risk scenarios, cost structures and revenue expenditure and subsequent construction of financial statement concludes that the approach is feasible and generates business profitability for investors as the net present value of city kart is USD. 85,050.04 with an internal rate of return of 19.90% four percentage points higher than the industry value as it has revolutionized the market with the package of services offered, the advertising promotions established, strategic location and differentiated services.
