| dc.description | The purpose of this research is to determine the variations that occur in electronics and sound, when a recommended impedance ratio of 10 to 1 is altered between the input of a preamplifier and the output of a microphone. For this purpose, measurements of the THD produced by each microphonepreamplifier combination are taken using the Smaart acoustic measurement software, the results are compared with surveys made to students and professionals in the branches of sound engineering and music production. For the surveys, recordings were made of three different musical instruments whose only difference is the input impedance of the preamplifier. The results obtained indicate that altering this relationship causes changes in the output level and the total THD of the system. These variations are greater in a tube preamplifier than in a transistor one. As for the surveys, it was found that if participants could notice the sonorous difference produced, however, a statistically relevant pattern that indicates preferences towards one sonority or another was not found. | en |
