Resumen : Este proyecto tiene el propósito de determinar la viabilidad de implementar un centro de recreación y entrenamiento deportivo junto a mascotas en Cumbayá...
Descripción : This project has the purpose of determining the viability of implementing a sports recreation and training center with pets in Cumbayá. In Ecuador, the sports industry and pets have experienced significant social and economic development. Today, 3 out of 5 families in Quito have at least one pet, and in the Sierra region, the average cost for pet care and maintenance is approximately 2.6 million per month; being education and recreation the first criteria to take into account when providing responsible care. The research began with external analysis tools, which allowed knowing a broader context of the entire industry. In addition, qualitative methods (interviews with experts and focus groups) and quantitative methods (surveys) were used to measure and identify the needs of clients. After the analysis, a market opportunity was found, since there is no center in Cumbayá that includes recreational modalities such as Doga, Mentrailing and Dog Dancing and sports such as Bike and Joring, Flyball, Agility, Flyball, Canircross and the Disc Dog. To address this opportunity, a general strategy based on differentiation was applied, which includes additional services such as training, supplemented with transportation, food, veterinarian, pet store and aesthetics, thanks to the association with "Animal Welfare". In the organizational structure, an organizational chart was determined with a hierarchical order designed to provide a quality service. Finally, the financial analysis shows that the implementation of this project is viable, both socially and economically, where indicators such as current ratio, profit margin and debt exceed the company's average expectations. In addition, a net present value greater than 0 was obtained and a period of accounting recovery of the investment at the end of the third year. In conclusion, this business plan has made it possible to determine that although it is not a well-known service, it is expected that its penetration in the market will allow the growth of the business to be viable, additionally it is expected to generate a great social impact, taking into account to the pet segment.
